Your files should outlive your tools
A mature design file carries years of product decisions: component libraries, spacing systems, a thousand small corrections nobody remembers making. When that history is locked behind one vendor's seats and export dialogs, every pricing change and every policy update becomes your problem. Tuvi's answer is simple: it opens the .fig file you already have — the file itself, not an export of it — so nothing gets lost on the way in and there is no new format to maintain.

What survives the trip — and what to expect

And here is what to expect at the edges: a few text features such as text-on-path are not supported yet, and files past roughly 100 MB open noticeably slower. We publish these limits because a migration decision made on accurate information survives contact with reality; one made on marketing does not.
